The competitive scene in our country is getting more and more exciting as these following teams struggle to reach the top, but who are actually the remarkable ones last year?
Band of Brothers (4 Points)
The team originates from Davao and they are formerly known as Nomets — the pride of Mindanao who participated in ACG 2008 and WGT 2008 in Manila.
● 3rd place finish – Asian Dota Championship Philippine Qualifier
No Effects 1 (6 Points)
They are the team from Blue Skies in Katipunan which consists of predecent ƒlow players led by Lutan, together with Bru, who is also a pioneer of ƒlow. No Effects has recently been active on several tournaments held around Manila, primarily in Taft Avenue.

Hatred (formerly Happy Feet 2) (8 Points)
A newly settled team led by former Mineski player, Wootzy, which consists of members from the team Bear Brand. Today, this team is one of the top tier teams — definitely a force to be wreckoned with. Although they have deep roots with Happy Feet, they are now known as Team Hatred with their debut team appearance in the 1st PDEC Tournament.

10. Rusty Gaming (8 Points)
The team based their name from their lead player Rusty. Rusty Gaming stormed the Summer of 2009 by showing off with some great finishes in the events that they participated even though they were always considered as the underdogs.

9. Bacville (10 Points)
The team from Baclaran, famous from their lead player SkillAI. All the way from Baclaran this team travels far to compete in glorious tournaments. With previous controversies with marshals before, they have now set their focus in bringing home the gold and in proving that Baclaran is not a place you want to mess with.

8. No Effects 2 (10 Points)
Formerly known as Dissidia. Their team is led by Jojoflow consisting of the members from Dissidia including their famous player Stevefox. A team that really does not need effects to win but to win simply is their style.

7. TheOs (14 Points)
Collectively known as YouPornStars. Wil and Yoma tags-up like batman and robin to compete against the best teams in the philippines. They also have an shop known as “TheOs Junction” located in Muntinlupa.

6. eZ (20 Points)
Team eZ is a powerhouse team led by Joker. There are speculations that every July, this team always gets the Championship titles which has been proven right since 2008 and 2009 July is the month that they own!

5. Pag-ibig 1 (20 Points)
The second team of Pag-ibig from Marikina, led by Cast. Both Pag-ibig teams are active in competitive scene from betting games to tournaments, you name it! – Pag-ibig 1 will be always there. Another sister team of a brute force team which always gets top 8 of events and name to be one of the most consistent clans.
● Champion – Mineski 102 Dota/Cod Tournament
4. Pag-ibig 2 (36 Points)
The main Pag-ibig team, famous of Papapao’s Viper and Puck. During the PSW-4, they showed how strong they are with the substitution of Stevefox. Pag-ibig faced team Mineski in the final and with the twice-to-beat advantage, Pag-ibig won the Championship title. Pag-ibig also dominated and was reigned Champions in Mineski 102.

3. Prime (40 Points)
Prime also known as the DotA Instructors got the attention of DotA fans when they won the Championship title in Pampainit Sa WCG-2 2009 (PSW-2). They have also sucessfully defended their title in PSW-3. DotA Instructors changed their team name to Prime. Prime’s first Championship title was the @rena Tournament which was held in Taft Avenue with TheOs|doc as their newest addition in their roster. Prime was also known by their bottle-crow strategy, Tackle’s Sand King and last but not the least their star player Kimo.

2. HappyFeet (50 Points)
This team is famous by their flawless teamplay, led by Julz grabbing the PSW-1 Championship title using their abilities and talents. In Mineski DotA Tournament 2 (MSDT-02), HappyFeet went to a massive roster change with the substitution of Candypop, Little John and Paski, they won the championship title as team Nobody. HappyFeet also won the Mineski DotA Tournament 3 (MSDT-03) championships by defeating No Effects 2 in the final.

1. Mineski-DotA (58 Points)
The number one seed in Philippine DotA competitive scene for 2009. Mineski is famous of their ganking forte in the early days of DotA. Their all-star line up consists of top players from different top teams and regions all over the Philippines. From the team Ninja of Bongertzz and Tony, Davao’s Yukiekun, Cebu’s Vigass and their Captain Rhom. This team has been representing Philippines in ADC for 3 years in the running 07-09 and has been participating Local events internationally with “proudly Filipino” in mind.
