Of the ten teams that entered the MarsTV Dota 2 League Winter finals, Mineski-Dota was the lone squad that had recently failed to secure entry into the Shanghai Major later this season, and it definitely showed.
The PH representatives came crashing out of the tournament with a winless 0-8 win-loss card, including a six-game losing streak to open up their campaign in yesterday.
Despite their recent resurgence Jay and his teammates had seen following their moving into the new Mineski Pro Gaming Team Mansion, which includes a 4-0 run in SEA officials right before heading out to China for the MDL, the team continues to falter in the big stage, failing yet again to mount a deep run against the best teams in the world.
In almost all of their games, Mski-Dota seemed lost in the meta, as they consistently failed to either adopt or adapt to current flavor of the tournament heroes, most notably Invoker and Night Stalker.
The players now have a few days off to recollect themselves, as they try to further adjust to the 6.86 meta in preparation for their upcoming tournaments. They return to SEA still on top of the [WePlay D2 League S3 Qualifiers], but things can drastically change in the blink of an eye for this team, especially if they let their recent struggle in China affect their morale.
