Visa woes persists for the TI winner

Henrik “AdmiralBulldog” Ahnberg will be missing The International for the second straight time as an invited talent after failing to accomplish his Canadian visa application in time.
In a Twitlonger post, AdmiralBulldog pointed at a stupid mistake he did eight years ago to be the reason behind an unbelievably slow visa application. He claimed to have started the process one and a half month ago but because of the ‘dot’ on his record, he won’t be able to accomplish the procedure right before the start of The International 2018.
“Since 2012 I’ve been traveling to A LOT of different countries around the world and I never had any issues getting there… It has always been quick so I thought 6 weeks was more than enough, the only one that took a few weeks was for USA and that was just book a visa appointment and then it was done,” Bulldog stated.
Last year, The International 2013 champion also failed to attend the annual Dota 2 world championship after the US Immigration forced him to return to Sweden for his failure to provide a working visa. Bulldog expressed his dismay over the situation and despite admitting that there may have been some lapses on his part, he stressed how he never really had an issue like this one before.
AdmiralBulldog promises to not let this issue happen again in future events, and even though he won’t be able to come to the event, he will still be streaming The International from his home.
Meanwhile, Matthew “Cyborgmatt” Bailey, Director of Operations of Team Secret, confirmed that all 90 players competing at The International 2018 had no problems securing their Canadian visas despite the long and grueling process.
