Bimbo-led TaskUs Titans Advances to DAC 2018 SEA Qualifiers

PH’s most explosive player is back in action!

TaskUs Titan‘s fresh all-Filipino five-man stack has survived the grueling rounds of the Dota 2 Asia Championship Southeast Asian Open Qualifiers last night, to advance to the Major tournament’s regional qualifiers.

Linuel “Teehee” Abanto, Ryan “Bimbo” Qui, Ryo “RyOr” Hasegawa, Carlo “BDz” Manalo, and Kenneth “Flysolo” Coloma were able to defeat six of SEA’s up-and-coming Dota 2 contenders to join FnaticMineski-DotaTNC Pro TeamExecrationClutch Gamers, and HappyFeet, in a fight for the Dota 2 Asia Championship 2018 main event slot.

After Philippine-based Dota 2 team Execration revealed its new line-up without Bimbo, the local Dota 2 community was surprised to see the Business Process Outsourcing-sponsored banner competing in the DAC 2018 SEA Open Qualifiers with Bimbo playing as its middle lane carry.

TaskUs Titans went past staple SEA teams like PG.Barracx and NextGeneration Vietnam before facing rising Malaysian Dota 2 squad Flash Gaming in a best-of-three semifinal. The two teams went out in a full three-game series in order to determine who among them will advance to the regional qualifiers with Indonesia’s Boom ID.

After a 50-minute do-or-die third game, TaskUs Titans clinched their first remarkable achievement as a newly-found Dota 2 team as Teehee’s Razor heroics managed to kill Syeonix’s Divine Rapier-equipped Gyrocopter.
