The 2017 League of Legends World Championship is still underway with the Play-in stage. Twelve teams are in a do-or-die conflict which will determine the last four teams to advance to the main event of Worlds 2017. The opening day of the tournament saw mixed results from all teams from groups A and B, up until Cloud9‘s decidedly one-sided stomp on Team oNe Esports.
Good Morning Cloud9
C9 mid laner Jensen surprised many with his unexpected Galio pick yesterday as he mostly uses carry champions. Cloud9 continue to show their renewed flexibility by bringing out another unorthodox pick, the Jensen Ryze. The NA squad capitalized on their jungler mid laner combo to press on an early advantage over Team oNe. Jensen picked up an early 3/0/1 score in under 5 minutes of the game.
What followed was a one-sided League of Legends clinic by Cloud9 as the members of the NA team freely roamed the map picking up kills from anywhere on the Rift. Team oNe were definitely caught unprepared by the surging North American squad. C9 finish the game with a 14-0 clean sweep in only 22 minutes of play.
