The documentary is an industry-first for PH esports

Kuwentong Dota (Dota Stories), a PH esports documentary, is set to debut tomorrow night, February 16, 2018, on the ESPN5 channel at 11:15 PM.

The show will follow the players of the Globe PPGL 2018, as they fight their way towards the top of the tournament. The Globe PPGL 2018, or the Globe Philippine Pro Gaming League 2018, is a multi-title esports league by MET, in partnership with Globe Telecom. The league features tournaments in Dota 2, Tekken 7, and Arena of Valor with a combined prize pool of 800, 000 PHP.

The documentary on PH esports will shed light on the human aspect of competitive gaming and will dispel common misconceptions and assumptions about the industry. An esports documentary live on Philippine national television is only the latest step towards the legitimization of PH esports.
