Natus Vincere and MIBR (Made In Brazil) are one series away from securing a grand final slot at the FACEIT Major: London 2018, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive’s second Major tournament of the year, after eliminating BIG and compLexity Gaming, respectively.

Na’Vi opened the New Champions Stage of the FACEIT Major: London 2018 against BIG at Dust 2. The first five rounds went in the way of the Danylo ”Zeus” Teslenko-led squad despite a pretty convincing start from the Germans. BIG was able to pick up the pace after winning two straight rounds, but unfortunately, those were the last two rounds that they will score as Na’Vi closed out the map at 16-2. s1mple ended the first map with the most kills, damage, assists, AWP kills, and first kills.

BIG had a better opening during the second map at Nuke, but Na’Vi’s momentous eight-map streak put them into an almost insurmountable deficit. A little chance of turning things around was given to the Fatih ”gob b” Dayik-led squad when they took first three rounds after the halftime as the Terrorists. With a 12-6 score, Na’Vi proceeded to stop put an end at BIG’s run after the first gun round went into their way. Despite Zeus’ 20 frags, it was s1mple’s heroics again that moved Na’Vi into the semifinals of the major, ending BIG’s run at Nuke, 16-6.

Meanwhile, Fernando “fer” Alvarenga’s MIBR opened their campaign at their map pick, Train. The first eight rounds of the series opener just saw MIBR punishing the North American’s for not familiarizing themselves with the map. coL, however, was somehow able to stop MIBR from their tracks after getting themselves up in the board with four rounds. Unfortunately for them, MIBR was able to regroup after the halftime by closing coL out 16-4.

After the game one drubbing, coL came into Inferno looking like a different squad. They showed MIBR how they were able to reach the New Legends Stage after edging them out at the first half of the map with an 8-7 score, despite a masterful ace from Fallen in the in the ninth round. They continued to lead the Brazilians even as the Counter-Terrorists, but after the economy reset, MIBR proceeded to take the lead away from coL, ending their journey at Inferno, 16-12.

The FACEIT Major: London 2018 quarterfinals continues with Team Liquid up against HellRaisers, and an el classico matchup between Astralis and FaZe Clan.
