Mushi, Fnatic reclaim SEA throne, clinch first regional spot in Shanghai Major

After taking a backseat to the fiery boys of Mineski-Dota in the previous Major season, Fnatic announces their return to the top of the Southeast Asian Dota scene with a 2-0 domination of MVP.Phoenix to claim the first SEA spot in the upcoming Shanghai Major.

Mushi once more proved himself to be the rightful emperor of SEA, not letting his recent positional transfer from the mid-lane to the 1-position slow him down one bit, as he led his team’s charge to the top of the region. Fnatic finished their qualifier run with a 10-2 scoreline, which includes an impressive 4-0 run through the playoffs today. The legendary mid-laner also put up staggering averages of 645 gpm and 642 xpm in the finals, making sure to prevent the Koreans from conquering the region, much like how they did in the TI5 SEA Qualifiers.

The same qualifier run also featured MidOne/Miduan‘s official debut under the Fnatic banner, as he took over mid-lane duties, while Mushi carried in the stead of ADTR, who appears to have been cut from the team’s starting five, having underperformed in their last few outings at the close of 2015.

PH Dota fans now have the opportunity to root for a Filipino player in the upcoming major despite Mski, TNC, XctN, and XTRMST all having dropped out yesterday, as ex-Rave mid-laner Djardel/Chrissy will be joining Fnatic in China this March, having displayed impeccable support play in his second position for the organization.

Meanwhile, Yamateh’s Team Taring take on Meracle’s First Departure first thing tomorrow morning. Winner advances to face MVP for the last SEA spot in the major.
