ROG Masters 2017 APAC Regional Qualifier: 5Power Club

China has consistently produced some of the best teams in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive such as TyLoo and ViCi Gaming. 5Power Club used to be one of them.
5Power Club started out as a Chinese organization when it was formed in May of 2016. Since their inception they’ve had 12 podium finishes and 15 roster changes, something that has both helped and burdened them at the same time. The organization knew that the Chinese scene is a fierce landscape, hence their decision to expand their reach to the rest of Asia.
They picked up their current squad quite recently and have shown that they can produce good numbers. Dobu and kabal were both from The MongolZ (the same roster that secured the championship during the ASUS ROG Masters 201), PTC was from 7642 *(one of Thailand’s hard-hitting teams), forget is a decorated 1.6 veteran and xiaosaGe is one of the founding members of the club.
5Power Club is currently ranked 9th in Asia, just above Mineski-CS:GO and below Recca Esports. That being said, they came out of nowhere. The Club secured a slot in the ZEN Esports Network League 2017 Season 2, a slot in the eXTREMESLAND ZOWIE Asia CS:GO 2017, and in the SL i-League StarSeries Season 3 – China (where they beat TyLoo 2:1).
They have the win condition. All that’s needed is for them to earn their stripes. There is a high chance for 5Power Club to secure their slot on the main stage and they just need to keep going at it just as how they struck the region out of nowhere.
The ASUS ROG Masters 2017 Asia-Pacific qualifier is the culminating tournament for the region’s representative at the ASUS ROG Masters 2017 Main Stage. Sixteen of the Asia’s and Oceania’s best teams will battle it out at the SMX Convention center from October 26 to 30, 2017. Only one team will be APAC’s representative.
