The entire crowd at the Shanghai Oriental Sports Center was silenced earlier today in the last Semifinals series of Worlds 2017. Samsung Galaxy closed out the lights on the last remaining chinese team in the tournament.

SSG have earned the distinction of being the only team to secure a finals rematch against SK Telecom T1. It is also the same Samsung lineup as their 2016 Worlds run.
The 2016 World Championship final was the first grand final series to go the full five games in the tournament’s six years. Now the two strongest teams from South Korea will meet back on the finals stage at the Bird’s Nest in Beijing.
SKT is looking for their third consecutive world championship and fourth overall Summoner’s Cup. SSG is out to get revenge for their heartbreaking defeat last year at the Staples Center Arena in *Los Angeles.
The teams that received most of the hype at the beginning of the tournament have all been eliminated. Samsung Galaxy remains the only hope of halting another SKT world championship reign.
