Two more nights of sleep to go before the coveted SEA powerhouse TNC Pro Team finally takes on the North American titan Evil Geniuses in a two-game series to officially kick off The International 2017 group stages.
However, despite the community’s preparedness to witness the greatest Dota 2 games of this year, visa issues still continue to plague The International 2017 attendees.
Yesterday, we reported how Team Empire’s carry, Vladimir “Chappie” Kuzmenk, was left at their bootcamp due to a conflict on his passport and visa. Today, Wykrhm Reddy revealed that if Chappie failed to get his passport within the day, Planet Odd’s carry, Resolut1on, will stand in for Team Empire.
The chance of Chappie to play at his first The International is still still viable given he arrive at Seattle. Team Empire will only play with Resolut1on given the absence of their carry. This means that even if Chappie arrives in Seattle in the middle of the group stages, Team Empire will let go of Resolut1on and play with Chappie.
The problem regarding entrance to USA, however, doesn’t end there. In a brief tweet by AdmiralBulldog, the donger claimed that he was denied to enter the country and had to go back to Sweden.
Denied entrance to US and have to go back. GG

In an elaborate statement, AdmiralBulldog said that his failure to enter US was due to the lack of working visa. Despite being currently inactive at the professional scene, AdmiralBulldog was invited to this year’s The International 2017 as a part of the English broadcast team, thus the notion of him working for Valve in America.

Meanwhile, the attendees who were able to reach Seattle in time got some pampering courtesy of the Media Day.
Like how they are going to commence the group stage, the members of TNC Pro Team were also the one who came in first to get their haircuts and photo ops done. Check out Dota 2’s image gallery for more pictures about the Media Day.
The International 2017 main event will be on August 8, 2017 at the KeyArena, Seattle, Washington, USA.
