The World Electronic Sports Games (WESG) APAC qualifier is now open for registration. Players from the Asia-Pacific region can now sign up for the Dota2, CS:GO, StarCraft2, and Hearthstone tournaments.
There is also a women’s division open for registration but only for Counter Strike: Global Offensive and Hearthstone.
The APAC qualifier of the WESG tournament will split the $279,800 prize pool among the 6 tournaments. You can check the distribution of sub-regions in the APAC region on their website for the general division and the women’s division.
The Philippines representatives in the WESG 2016 main event made history as they claimed the top spots for their respective games. TNC Pro Team defeated Cloud9 in the Dota 2 grand finals, while Euniel “Staz” Javiñas toppled Alliance’s Orange to claim the Hearthstone crown. Will new PH players make a name for themselves next year in China? The road begins at the WESG APAC qualifier.
The WESG APAC final will be held in China from January 11-14, 2018.
