Groups Half Full

The first week of the 2017 League of Legends World Championship group stage has finally reached its end. Numerous upsets and unexpected games filled the 4-day period.

The following plays feature the very best of Day 4 of the Worlds 2017 group stage!

Flash Wolves Crumbling

Team WE kicks off Day 4 of the Worlds 2017 group stage by dropping Flash Wolves in a 0-3 hole. They applied pressure with this amazing mid-lane death brush strategy for a 3 for 1 exchange.

Doublelift Execution

Team SoloMid rushed baron as a desperate move to try and turn the tide of the game. TSM’s base was almost demolished by large minion waves so they had no choice but to force a fight. Misfits immediately answered with an amazing baron contest. This team fight was capped off by PowerOfEvil‘s execution on Doublelift to help secure victory for the EU squad.

Marine Warfare

GIGABYTE Marines continued their chaotic play style with this level 1 team collapse on Immortals‘ unlucky Support. Olleh‘s Rakan was immediately deleted from Summoner’s Rift.

Let Slip the Dogs of War

Fnatic left Longzhu Gaming‘s top laner Khan to his own devices on Nasus. Their failure to collapse on a scaling champion bit them in the rear during the first clash of the game. Khan’s Siphoning Strike on Rekkles brought the EU AD Carry’s health bar down to half. Never let a Nasus farm his heart out.

Samsung Late Game Clutch

Samsung Galaxy was simply not having a good game against 1907 Fenerbahce Espor. The representatives from Turkey led the former 2016 Worlds First Runners Up around the Rift with their firm grasp on the early and mid game. SSG put their vast experience to work as they turned things around in this crucial late game clash.

Uzi on a Warpath

G2 Esports put up a great late game defense against the tournament favorites Royal Never Give Up. G2 nearly scored the upset against the 2nd seed from the LPL up until Uzi decided to take action. The Worlds veteran Uzi went online in their final team fight against G2 as he claimed a Quadrakill on Twitch.
