ROG Master APAC 2017

Indonesia’s CS:GO Presence
Indonesia is one of the strongest countries in the CS:GO scene. Jakarta’s Team Nxl> dominated that region in the past. Since then, Nxl> has been replaced by Recca Esports as they not only dominated the local Indonesian competition but also Asia as they became champion of Zen League Season 1.
One of the ex-Recca players, Hansel “BnTeT” Ferdinand is now part of the Chinese team, TyLoo. It proves that Indonesia has many talented players.
CS:GO Young Bloods
But now, it seems Indonesia CS:GO aren’t out of iternational level talent. The newest CSGO team out of Indonesia is Akara. They managed to beat Recca Esports with a convincing 2-1 record.
Akara actually existed from 2015 under the team name, Team Mercenaries. The team changed to Akara with support of PT Akara Jasa Nusantara as their main sponsor in mid 2017.
The team itself became one of the best teams in Indonesia as they dominated local online and LAN tournaments. They represented Indonesia in the ROG Masters and IeSF Busan 2017.
They found difficulty in their first international outing as they went up against Grayhound Gaming from Australia, MVP Pk from Korea, and the Philippines’ Mineski.
Akara Moving Forward
In a recent interview, we received news that one of Akara’s players, Tsukamoto, can’t join the team in the ROG Masters Asia Pacific. Because of this unfortunate development, they used a stand-in.
But if they repeat their performance during the final of ROG Masters Indonesia qualifier, it’s possible for them to get their ticket to the main event.
16 Teams from Asia and Oceania will battle at the SMX Convention Center from October 26 to 30, 2017. Only one team will be the APAC representative in the main event.
Akara’s Lineup: Ramadya “Tsukamoto” Putranto Augusta “Foscmorc” Maulana Gary “blaZek1ng” Dastin Randy “valdrien” Chrysalis William “kr0” Adinata
