Nikola “NiKo” Kovač is now one step closer to the finals
Nikola NiKo Kovač is undoubtedly one of the most explosive CS:GO pro players out there right now. Considered as the #2 top Player of 2017 (next to SK’s Marcelo coldzera David), he’s been growing ever since.
Prior to him joining FaZe Clan, the young Bosnian played with the German organization mousesports where he made headlines during a couple of memorable matches. He was the best shooter among the team and was, at one point, the in-game leader for the boys in red, replacing one of the legendary IGL’s in Germany Faith gob b Dayik. It was at IEM Katowice 2016 when he started making a name for himself after getting a 1.51 rating in five maps and even getting 42 kills against a then-unstoppable Fnatic. Despite making an impact and attending three majors early in his career, he still hasn’t made it into the playoffs of any major.
Until now.
With their lineup looking strong as ever, FaZe Clan clawed their way up the ladder during the New Challenger stage where they finished 3-1 and continued on with their streak at the New Legends stage where they were 3-0, solidifying their spot in the playoffs. This makes it NiKo’s first appearance in a Major playoff. With a roster filled with decorated teammates such as Finn karrigan Andersen, Ladislav GuardiaN Kovács, and Olof olofmeister Kajbjer (who all have Major appearance and titles to boot), it’s only a matter of time before NiKo lifts his first trophy.
FaZe Clan is made their way in the semifinals recently and their next match will be tonight against Natus Vincere. Click here for more information on the ELEAGUE Major Boston 2018!
