Skill over luck.
The World Electronic Sports Games APAC 2017 Finals kicked off earlier today. The Philippines sent four top-calibre participants across the four different games: Dota 2, Hearthstone, Counter Strike: Global Offensive, and StarCraft 2.
However in the first day of action, only IAmTheTable in Hearthstone was in action. He quickly picked up two quick wins against Kyrgyzstan’s gambit and Palestine’s Saquib to ensure his qualification in the next stage of the APAC Finals.
His first loss of the day came against Australia’s ProfessorOak. Their match went the whole five rounds with Oak getting his combo off earlier in the Priest mirror match up.
The other members of team Philippines: HappyFeet, Mineski-CSGO, and Enderr will see their first matches of the APAC final tomorrow, January 12.
