Boom ID breaks into the ROG Masters 2017 APAC Regional Qualifier to prove that the Indonesians belong on the pinnacle of South East Asian Dota alongside the Filipinos and the Malaysians.
One of the best Indonesian players to ever play the game, InYourDream will have to take charge in the upcoming meet if Boom ID want to go the distance. While InYourDream had a rough start to 2017 in his brief stint with Fnatic for ESL One Genting, his year has since then enjoyed an upward spiral. A legit 9,000 MMR player in the hazardous SEA region, he can explode with a godlike performance at any given time.
It’s not a one-man show for Boom ID as another young Indonesian star on the rise in Dreamocel is relied upon by the team to makeplays. The carry hasn’t made much of a name for himself outside of the country but he has been with Boom ID since it was formed earlier this year. While he normally plays carry, he is also known to switch it up with InYourDream once in a while to throw the occasional curve ball at their opponents.
They may not be the best team going into the ROG Masters 2017 but they will certainly be giving it their all. Boom ID has taken wins against TNC Pro Team, Fire Dragoon, and Warriors Gaming Unity over the last month. While they have the quality to run with the best of SEA, their overall consistency is still in question.
How much does a win here mean for Boom ID? InYourDream said in an interview with Mineski.net that his ultimate goal is making the Indonesian esports scene better and a win at a ROG APAC will raise their country’s stock tremendously. It’s a long road for InYourDream and the rest of Boom ID in making that dream a reality but they have to start somewhere.
On October 25-29, if Boom ID prove their worth at the APAC Regionals they will be at the SMX Convention to battle against Asia Pacific’s best Dota 2 teams for the ASUS ROG Masters 2017 APAC Finals. You can catch them live and see if they will manage to make Indonesia proud.
The ASUS ROG Masters 2017 APAC Regional Qualifiers will be on October 26-29 at SMX Convention Center. Admission is free.
