During the Media Day for ESL One Hamburg, the teams had a nifty surprise waiting for them as custom Mercedes Benz’s were used to pick them. The players themselves could also drive them if they so wished.
Fnatic manager Eric Khor even joked on Twitter that EternaLEnVy already crashed Fnatic’s. The Dota 2 world were quick to believe Khor since it was very likely Classic EE would have done something like that.
While the teams had custom cars, the broadcast talent would not be forgotten as there was also a Mercedes Benz production truck on-hand for the casters and analysts could have fun with.
Mercedes Benz is one ESL One Hamburg’s major sponsors and they are definitely making their presence felt. Unlike past major sponsors in esports events they seem unsatisfied just being a logo in the background. The MVP of ESL One Hamburg will win a brand new Mercedes Benz to call their own.
The tournament kicks-off later tonight at 10 pm with Newbee taking on Fnatic.
